The House
The House at Casa Monteverdi occupies the entire ground floor of our more than 250-year-old wine farmhouse and is always rented exclusively to one party. It comfortably accommodates six guests and features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, two distinctive living areas and a spacious open-plan kitchen. For larger groups, the comfortable sofa bed in the Mambo living area provides accommodation for up to eight guests.
The generous kitchen is the heart of the house, connecting the two characterful living areas: Tango at the front and Mambo overlooking the garden. This thoughtful layout makes Casa Monteverdi ideal for families and groups of friends who want to spend their holiday together while still enjoying plenty of space and privacy.
Tango Living Area
The Tango living area occupies the front section of Casa Monteverdi and features a spacious living room, a bright double bedroom and a private bathroom with toilet, bidet and a generous walk-in shower.
Comfortably furnished and fully equipped, the living room is a wonderful place to relax after a day exploring the vineyards, historic villages or surrounding countryside. Five colourful Tango watercolours by Dutch artist and tango teacher Marianne van Berloo give this living area its own distinctive character.
Tango overlooks the charming front garden and the Bar-Pizzeria, where it is a pleasure to relax on warm summer days.
Mambo Living Area
The Mambo living area takes its name from the famous dance scene in Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story. Above the sofa hangs an impressive still from the film, reflecting the subtle musical theme that runs throughout Casa Monteverdi.
This spacious and comfortable living area includes a piano and an extensive DVD and Blu-ray collection featuring music and classic films. The two inviting bedrooms each have their own private bathroom with a toilet, bidet and walk-in shower.
One bedroom overlooks the garden and swimming pool, while the other opens onto the characterful raised terrace beside the olive tree, with beautiful views across the surrounding vineyards.
