Casa Monteverdi is a deluxe Country House in the heart of Piedmont. It’s situated in the midst of the Monferrato region, a picturesque string of cultivated hills and vineyards that are dotted with small towns and castles. It is the home of the Barolo, the Barbera, the Arneis and the Cortese wines. Thanks to its perfect location and vibrant wine culture, it’s no wonder the area was turned into a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014.

La vita è bella
Vineyards growing the Barbera grape surround our fully modernised, 250-year-old farmhouse. It’s located on the edge of two scenic villages: Castelnuovo Calcea and Vinchio. Here you can relax and enjoy all the beauty and delicacies this friendly, culinary area has to offer. Beautiful towns such as Alba, Asti, Canelli, Nizza Monferrato and Aqui Terme are perfect and easily accessible day trip destinations. Roam the local farmers’ markets, delight in the cuisine of the many osterias, enjoy a hike through the vineyards or cycle through the beautiful hills. At night, prepare your meals together in our large kitchen, watch some Netflix or a movie from our selection of Blu-rays/DVDs. But mostly, unwind at our beautiful pool amid the newly planted flowerbeds.

From Monteviso to Mont Bianco
When the skies are clear our breathtaking vistas are a constant delight, with visibility of the Alps behind the western hill fronts, all the way from Monteviso to Mont Blanc. Casa Monteverdi is a freestanding farmhouse about 200 m away from the road, the quiet Via Momparone. A daily highlight? Sitting on our west-facing terrace with a glass of Barbera, enjoying the spectacular sunsets.
