About Us

When we first visited Piedmont in 2006 it was love at first sight. It began with incredibly memorable family holidays in summer, to discovering the wonders of the area year-round, specifically the Truffle Festival in October/November. Slowly but steadily an idea developed to create a dream destination for our family, our friends and ourselves. We searched for over three years to find a traditional Piedmont ‘cascina’, an old farmhouse that we could turn into a place of relaxation and inspiration. We desperately wanted a 360˚ view over the vineyards and the Alps to decorate it when the skies were clear. This house made all of those dreams come true.

Casa della Musica
Our inspiration was Italian Baroque composer Claudio Monteverdi. Not only did he write godly music, he was a curious innovator who looked towards the future of music. Casa Monteverdi is not only a fantastic holiday destination, it is also a Casa della Musica, as music has been the centre of both our professional and private lives. Casa Monteverdi breathes a love of music as well as a love of the Italian lifestyle.

Green House
Our Country House is completely ‘green’. It is gas-free, has extra isolation, a strong warm-water pump, the roof is outfitted with solar and heat panels, and we have a large capacity battery in the barn. We also recycle everything carefully, as we passionately believe we can all do our bit to preserve our beautiful planet. Our aim is to have your stay be as carbon-neutral as possible.

Casa Monteverdi is a place where our guests can have a wonderful break, and discover the beauty of Piedmont on their own. It’s also a place where musicians and artists can come to be inspired and to work on their next creation in peace.
